The CALPIA (Laundry) program is a (Laundry) program designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) needs statewide for institutional laundry needs. The Laundry program will train incarcerated individuals with the necessary knowledge and skill level needed to meet the highest possible standards. The Laundry program provides laundry services to the CDCR institutions. In return CALPIA trains a skilled workforce for the private sector in the laundry industry to help reduce the potential for recidivism.
The PIA is looking to fill an Industrial Supervisor, Prison Industries (Laundry) position at Wasco State Prison. The Industrial Supervisor is responsible for working inside a prison directly with incarcerated individuals instructing, leading, and providing instruction to assist with laundry services.
