ROLE SUMMARY
The Corporate Card and Travel Manager will be responsible for implementing Pfizer’s Corporate Card and Travel programs at the regional level for The Americas, which will enable regional meetings operations and ensure card partnerships are meeting regional needs.
This role will work closely with the Global MEET Corporate Card and Travel Lead to understand MEET’s global strategy in the card and travel space and then align around areas where local/regional customization may be needed on an ongoing basis. He/she will serve as the first point of escalation for all card and travel-related issues within The Americas and will be responsible for their timely resolution. This role will also be responsible for identifying areas for continuous improvement, based on the trends that he/she sees within The Americas and will work with global leadership to design and implement solutions.
This Manager will demonstrate accountability and integrity in the face of challenge and respond to change with agility, optimism, and innovation.
The role will work closely with regional Meetings, External Engagements, & Travel (MEET) teams, other MEET Centers of Excellence, Corporate Compliance, Legal, Audit, Finance, and business leadership as needed. The Corporate Card and Travel Regional Manager will report directly to the Global MEET Corporate Card & Travel Lead.
  • Implement Pfizer’s corporate card operations, including Travel & Expense (T&E), Purchasing Card, and Meeting Card programs in The Americas.
  • Execute program strategies, manage account and card controls, direct card application, issuance and closure, and partner with Financial Services for payments and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Global Lead to identify areas where region-specific circumstances may warrant customization in the implementation of Pfizer’s card program.
  • For areas where local customizations are warranted, design and implement processes and solutions.
  • Partner with Global MEET Corporate Card & Travel Lead to ensure collection of commissions from hotels and rebates earned through Pfizer’s travel and meetings activity in The Americas
  • On an ongoing basis, assess whether Corporate Card issuer is meeting service levels and local needs within The Americas
  • Support Global MEET Corporate Card & Travel Lead with supplier selection activities for The Americas (incl. identification of secondary card for select market based on local needs); drive supply-based optimization for complex categories.
  • Lead periodic review of Corporate Card program within The Americas to assess whether program is meeting local needs. As issues are identified, partner with Global MEET Corporate Card & Travel Lead to remediate challenges and identify alternate approaches.
  • Oversee the execution of Pfizer’s travel program within The Americas
  • Partner with Global Lead to identify areas where region-specific circumstances may warrant customization in the implementation of Pfizer’s travel program.
  • For areas where local customizations are warranted, design and implement processes and solutions.
  • Work with The Americas Travel Management Company on day-to-day issues, policy updates, process improvements, and industry changes
  • Resolve travel customer service issues (agency, online bookings, hotel, air, rental car, rail, and car service) within The Americas
  • Ensure technologies and infrastructure supporting travel and meetings are functioning as expected within The Americas, including both category-specific tools such as PT&E, Engage+, and Cvent, and enterprise technologies such as SAP, Ariba, Fuse, etc.
  • Implement strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as first point of escalation for all card and travel-related issues within The Americas
  • Ability to present to and manage relationships with stakeholders in The Americas
  • Represent customer needs and comments to MEET Corporate Card and Travel Lead as appropriate.
  • Utilize data gathering, performance analysis, operational improvement efforts, and reporting dashboards to identify opportunities to improve service within The Americas, present opportunities to Global MEET Corporate Card & Travel Lead
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Typical Years of Experience: 5 years (3+ years with MBA/MS) of experience in management, travel, meetings, events, oversight of global accounts, and associated compliance controls (incl. audit and/or finance experience)
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Fluency in English is a must, additional languages preferred.
  • Understanding and awareness of the technology landscape that supports MEET.
  • Strong Vendor Management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Strong accounting, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once.
  • High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
  • Highly customer and service minded.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Management of multiple client stakeholders
  • Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
  • Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient written and verbal skills to enable effective communication with all levels of management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Implementation of and support for global travel card program
  • Comfort with ambiguity, anticipates changes, and influences direction of innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Previous experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferred.
  • Deep expertise and understanding of travel, meetings, events, and card programs.
  • Recognized as a leader with in-depth knowledge of travel, meetings, and card.
  • Project management & communications skills
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Position is located in Tampa, USA. Travel would be for work related needs only. Weekend work could be necessary based on volumes.
Work location assignment: On premise
