Technicians are responsible for supporting all aspects of cultivation from propagation through harvest.
Essential functions include (but are not limited to): cleaning, pruning, cloning, transplanting, resetting rooms,
equipment operation/maintenance, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Also essential is a spirit of
cooperation, a desire to learn and develop, plus the ability to consistently follow all state/local regulations,
company standard operating procedures, and established safety measures (OSHA, DCC, CDFA,
company-mandated, etc.).
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
While other tasks may also be assigned, the expected duties in this role include (but are not limited to):
? Demonstrates a willingness to learn, follow standard operating procedures, and seek guidance when
unsure of the appropriate procedure/action.
? General cleaning duties, e.g., scrubbing and sanitizing trays in propagation room, veg room, and
various flowering rooms; cleaning miscellaneous growing equipment to maintain protocols;
transferring plants from one stage to the next; de-leafing plants, removing waste, weighing & tracking
plant waste.
? Mop up spills and leaks and ensure safety signs are in place to caution employees on wet floors, oily
surfaces, and other occupational hazards as soon as they are noticed.
? Assist with coordinating all grow operations, including daily activities, quality assurance,
transplanting, manicuring, harvesting, and Trimming, and assuring compliance with local, state, and
federal licensing requirements.
? Completes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/diseases under the
training of the Cultivation Manager.
? Ensures all equipment and systems (mechanical, lighting, fertigation/plumbing, etc.) are properly
maintained.
? Inventory procedures as they relate to proper plant counts and tracking information for inventory to
ensure that our facility is always operating in compliance.
? Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and
policies when performing duties.
? Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
? Complies with safety requirements at all times.
? Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at appropriate times, as this position may be
exposed you to splash hazards, high temperatures, and chemicals. Complete training will be
provided upon hiring.
Qualifications
We rely on cultivation and vegetation technicians for key day-to-day tasks, which keep our facility operating
effectively and the production cycle on schedule. Having a positive mindset and the desire to problem-solve
with a team-first attitude is critical for success. Experience following safety procedures and working in a
progressive team environment are preferred.
