Job Summary

.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available.• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, and price range.• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.• Maintain complete knowledge of Micros and manual systems.• Complete opening side duties:o Fold/stack cocktail napkins.o Stock swizzle sticks, straws, and matches.o Line cocktail trays.o Stock glassware.o Restock supply cabinet.• Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.• Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up selling techniques.• Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.• Retrieve orders from designated areas and serve to guest's.• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.• Handle guest complaints following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself.• Remove soiled wares from tables to dishwashing area.• Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.• Complete closing side duties:o Properly store all reusable goods.o Remove all items from tables; place clean items in designated areas; wipe clean all surfaces of tables.o Restock supply cabinet.o Secure all storage areas.SALARY RANGE: $16.11 - $17.00 PER HOUR

Requirement

.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.• Requires the ability to lift and carry object weighing up to 50 pounds. • Standing for 90 % of work shift is required.• Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking. • Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages. • Ability to access and input information into Micros system.• Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests.• Ability to maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly.• Ability to exert physical effort in transporting trays and wine buckets from service area to guest.• Ability to endure abundant physical movements in servicing guests throughout the work areas.• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
